Phone Company
Madelyn shares her memories of moving to Atlanta to live with the Morgan’s, a couple that she had met, that adopted her as their daughter for a few years. Mrs. Morgan got her a job with the phone company, which she retired from. Working for the phone company allowed her to move from city to city, all the while working for AT&T.
Shyness
Madelyn explains that she was very shy as a child. When her aunts and uncles teased that they would like to take her home, she feared that they actually would.
